Moldovan authorities officially informed their Romanian counterparts through a verbal note that they will not accept Mihnea Constantinescu as Romania's Ambassador to Moldova, a press release of the ministry informs. However, Romania's Foreign Affairs ministry did not announce its strategy on the matter.
Constantinescu was named as new Ambassador to Chisinau after Filip Teodorescu was declared persona non grata by Moldovan authorities. The gesture can be interpreted as new hostility signal from Moldova.
