Diana-Andra Borca-Tasciuc received the CARER award from the National Science Foundation (NFS), an award for young researchers, future leaders in their area of profession. Diana will use the 425.000 dollars received to continue her research addressing nanoparticles warmed by an alternative magnetic field, research that will help fight cancer.

"We're very proud top congratulate her for this success", the Rensselaer's School of Engineering dean David Rosowsky said. "The CAREER awards are given to the best and most promising researchers. I'm confident that her project will be a success and I can't hardly wait to see the impact it will have on cancer therapies", Rosowsky added.

Diana-Andra Borca-Tasciuc graduated the Physics College from Bucharest in 1996. She holds an MA and a PGD in Mechanical Engineering with the University of California in Los Angeles. She is currently professor-assistant at Rensselaer School of Engineering.
