1.July 2. Friday: Gazeta Sporturilor, the 1st 3D Romanian newspaper Gazeta Sporturilor [Sports Gazette, NB], will publish the first 3D newspaper in Romania on Friday, July 2. The newspaper can be read with the help of special spectacles, which are going to be distributed with the paper. The 3D publication is the first of this kind to be issued in Romania, only two months after Le Dernere Heure (Belgium) became the first newspaper in Europe to be issued in 3D version. A similar initiative came in June from British daily The Sun.
2.Media organisations ask Romanian President not to promulgate the ANI Law as adopted by Senate Several non-governmental organisations, mainly media organisations, have addressed a letter to President Traian Basescu on Thursday, asking him not to promulgate the new version of the National Integrity Agency Law, adopted by the Senate on Wednesday. The media organisations claim that the draft the Senate passed makes it impossible for the journalists in inform correctly and completely the public on possible abuses white-collar workers hired by the state and officials might try. 
3.Image crisis hit the press just as strong as financial crisis in 2009 The economic crisis in 2009 in Romania was augmented by an image crisis as far as the press is concerned. 4.ROADS research: Romanian online publicity market rose to 65.2 million lei in 2009 The Romanian online advertising market rose to 65.19 million lei (15.4 million euros, for an annual average exchange rate of 4.23 lei/euro), according to the latest niche research ROADS, carried out by IAB Romania and PwC Romania, a IAB communiqué shows. In 2008, the market reached 72 million lei (around 20 million euros), according to ROADS.
5.Vodafone Romania media account passes from McCann to OMD Vodafone Romania announced on Monday that come February 1 2010, its media account is going to be managed by OMD agency, as a result of the global agreement sealed by Vodafone group with the OMD network last year. According to a company's communiqué, Vodafone Romania will carry on working together with McCann Erickson agency on advertising creative services.
