6.European colors light up Bucharest Downtown Bucharest was lit up for the winter holidays in the colors of the European Union on Friday evening in a ceremony attended by President Traian Basescu and Bucharest mayor Adriean Videanu. Thousands of lights were turned on along major traffic routes of the Bucharest capital, especially in the downtown area linking the Unirii Square and the Romana Square, via the Universitatii Square.
7.Romanians, Bulgarians to be allowed to work in 52 sectors of French economy Romanian and Bulgarian citizens will have the opportunity to work in 52 sectors of the French labour market once the two countries join the EU on January 1, 2007, according to Europortal.bg. It quotes the French minister delegate for European Affairs, Catherine Colonna, during a visit to Bulgaria.
8.Long holiday season for Bucharest Stock Exchange December 19 will be the last day of trading for the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), it was announced today. Trading will re-start on January 3. It means that beside the days off for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the BVB will stay closed on December 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29, 2006.
9.PM Tariceanu: Romania will not have a minority government Romanian prime minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu said on Monday that in the existing political framework he would not lead a minority government as speculated by the media. He made the statement a day after the Conservative Party-PC, a junior member of the governmental coalition, announced its withdrawal from the government.

16.Guvernul, pirit la Comitetul Sindical Pan-European Cele patru confederatii sindicale din invatamintul romanesc au adresat o scrisoare membrilor Comitetului Sindical Pan-European, care se intrunesc azi in Luxemburg.
17.Turda in doliu Trei liceeni din Turda au murit ieri dimineata intr-un grav accident de circulatie, produs la intrarea in judetul Mures. Soferul, unul dintre elevi, nu avea permis de conducere si a luat masina fara stirea parintilor. Neatentia si nepriceperea au facut ca masina in care se aflau cei trei sa intre sub un TIR, tinerii decedind pe loc.
18.30.000 RON pentru un WC Sibienii vor plati 27.952 RON (aproape 300 de milioane de lei vechi) din bugetul public datorita unui proces pe care administratia publica l-a pierdut. Ca o eschiva de ultima ora, consilierii locali ai Sibiului au votat, in unanimitate, ca banii sa fie platiti de catre Serviciul Public Administratia Pietelor.
19.Cazut prada muntelui A salvat zeci de vieti in cei peste 30 de ani de cariera si a sfarsit tragic in timp ce vroia sa recupereze schiurile unui turist accidentat acum doua zile. Pentru o clipa, muntele nu i-a mai tinut partea. I-a intors spatele in momentul ce urma sa se dovedeasca fatal.
20.Mita pentru politist Directia Generala Anticoruptie Sibiu a reusit sa duca la bun sfarsit un flagrant ce urmarea sa demonstreze un caz de trafic de influenta in care era implicat un cadru al Inspectoratului de Politie al Judetului Sibiu.
