2.Budget makes minister think of resignation The Economy and Commerce Minister, Codrut Seres, claimed on Thursday that his ministry’s budget would decrease 33% in 2007. “I don’t think that the support I get from the Conservative Party is a proof for other colleagues’ lack of interest. I hope the Parliament rectifies the budget, or else I might resign”, said Seres, adding that most ministries got more funds than requested, his institution being the only one submitted to such a treatment.

The combined effect of economic growth and labor force migration led to a decrease of the unemployment rate from 8.4% in 2002 to 5% in 2005. Some 2 million Romanians work abroad, representing 20% of the total labor force.

6.Romanian hostage in Nigeria released Romanian Emil Neagu, kidnapped at the beginning of October in Nigeria, was released along with six other foreign citizens who were also held hostage, according to Reuters. All seven citizens are in good health.

Minister Monica Macovei will agree with the law drafts only after all changes are operated.

13.71.500 de apartamente in actiunea "Termopan" 71.500 de apartamente din judetul Mures vor putea fi dotate cu izolare cu poliester expandat si geamuri de tip termopan, conform Proiectul de reabilitare termica a apartamentele aflate in imobile supraetaje, la o treime din costuri sau chiar gratis. Proiectul a fost prezentat presei de prefectul judetului Mures, Ciprian Dobre.
