2.Gulf oilmen involved in Iran dispute return home Nineteen Romanian workers from the Orizont oil rig in the Persian Gulf, which was the subject of a Romania-Iran dispute in August, returned home at the end of their 28-day mission on Sunday. The owner of the platform, Romanian company Grup Servicii Petroliere - GSP, must send another team to operate the rig, according to its contract with the Iranian part.

7.Main opposition party announces autumn strategy The leadership of the Social Democratic Party - PSD, the main opposition group in Romania, decided on Monday to push members Vasile Dancu and Nicolae Serban for the seats as group deputy leaders in the Senate and member Victor Ponta for the seat of deputy speaker of the House of Deputies. The PSD National Permanent Board on Monday also planned to discuss changes to the representation of the party in parliamentary commissions.
8.Top social democrat figure leaves party The Social Democrat (PSD) deputy Dan Ioan Popescu resigned from his party on Monday on grounds of dissatisfaction with the working environment within PSD. D. I. Popescu, former leader of the PSD Bucharest, explained that his resignation was mainly due to the new management of the party. The current and the former leaders expressed regret for this party's loss.

20.Musca si Ghise, exclusi din PNL Mona Musca si Ioan Ghise au fost exclusi, sambata, din PNL. Cazul lui Dinu Patriciu urmeaza sa fie discutat in urmatoarea sedinta a Biroului Permanent al PNL. Mona Musca a fost exclusa din partid cu 62 de voturi pentru, 5 impotriva si o abtinere.
