1.What the newspapers say: June 26, 2006 Recent revelations of strong links between the leader of a small but influential political group and the former Communist secret police failed to prompt the withdrawal of the Conservative Party from the governing coalition this weekend, Monday newspapers report. 2.Conservatives to stay in government for six more months The Conservative Party - PC, a junior member of the government, will stay part of the governing coalition for six more months, the National Council of the political group decided on Sunday. The council convened to discuss whether or not to withdraw from the government after recent revelations by the body studying the archives of the Communist secret police that PC leader Dan Voiculescu was strongly linked to ex-dictator Nicolae Ceausescu’s Securitate.
3.Dozen people dead, three missing in wake of last week storms Twelve people have died and three were still missing on Sunday after a series of storms struck many regions across Romania last week. The latest toll published by the Interior Ministry in Bucharest shows the most affected regions were the counties of Bistrita-Nasaud and Maramures in Northern Romania.

The total value of the investment will rise to 80 million euro.

14.Bucharest ranked 114 in most expensive city survey The Romanian capital Bucharest ranked 114 in the most expensive city survey, 11 places down compared to last year, according to Mercer Human Resource Consulting. Moscow was considered the world's most expensive city while the last place was taken by Paraguay capital Asuncion. The second and the third most expensive cities are Seoul (South Korea) and Tokyo (Japan).

Suspendarea inmatricularii nu este similara cu radierea, care nu mai permite punerea in circulatie a masinilor respective. Ultima situatie centralizata arata ca in judetul Alba parcul auto este format din 80.450 de vehicule, din care 62.659 apartin persoanelor fizice.
