2.Main opposition party on the brink of scission A group of high-profile members of the main opposition group in Romania, the Social Democratic Party (PSD), were summoned by their House group leader at an ad-hoc meeting in Bucharest on Tuesday evening to discuss the wave of resignations that threatens the party. The event sparked a series of rumors in the media today that a large number of PSD members would follow their former leader Adrian Nastase, who allegedly plans to resign from the group on Thursday.

5.S&P keeps BB+ rating for Bucharest International rating agency Standard&Poor’s has confirmed its long-term rating of BB+ for the Romanian capital, which it says has stable forecasts due to a sustainable economic development and an engagement of the city hall to lower debt, according to an S&P press release.
6.PSD leader: speculated party exodus "a marginal, limited phenomenon" The leader of the main opposition group said in Romania, the Social Democratic Party (PSD), has said it was going through a difficult period and called for a calm reaction within the party to the announced exodus of members.
7.Bad weather returns Romanian authorities warn about the return of cold weather, wind and rain showers starting with the evening of March 22 until March 24. Thursday night, cold rain will turn into sleet and snow in the mountains, Moldova and Transylvania, Muntenia and Dobrogea.

9.Finland to ratify Romania's EU accession treaty after monitoring report Finland will not ratify Romania and Bulgaria’s EU accession treaties before the country monitoring reports to be issued by the European Commission in May, said State Secretary of Finnish government Antti Peltomaki to Romanian Integration minister Anca Boagiu during her visit to Finland. The Integration minister stated for that Finland’s intentions did not come as a surprise.
10.Senate endorses privatization of National Lottery The Romanian Senate ratified on Wednesday the privatization strategy of the National Lottery that entailed the transfer of 20 per cent of the shares to Proprietatea Fund, and five percent to be traded on stock change market. Before coming into force, the strategy must be also endorsed by the House of Deputies.
11.Romanian leasing market reaches 2.3 bln Euro The total value of leasing assets exceeded two billion Euros in 2005, according to a study by the Banking Leasing Association (ALB). For 2006, ALB forecasts a total volume of 2.3 bln Euros, up 15 percent compared to last year, with ascending trends for real estate and industrial sectors, and declining trend for cars.

Cu cinci stele obtinute in testele Euro NCAP, Clio 3 are un pret de pornire de 10.600 de euro pentru varianta de 1,2 litri si 75 de cai-putere. La noi, Clio a fost cel mai bine vindut model din import.
18.Presa da ca sigura plecarea lui Nastase din PSD Adrian Nastase va parasi joi partidul, anunta Jurnalul National. Alaturi de Nastase si-ar mai putea prezenta demisiile inca opt parlamentari, scrie Gandul. Surse din conducerea PC au confirmat pentru EVZ ca Nastase duce tratative cu Dan Voiculescu.
