Black Sea was the most animate point on the map of NATO operations during the past seven days. 21 military ships, a submarine and 10 airships joined the Sea Shield 18 exercise - the biggest NATO military maneuvers in its SE flank this year. The excercise was attended by over 2,300 troops from several NATO countries and was organised by Romanian Naval Forces, aiming at combat scenarios against asymmetrical, air, submarine and naval threats.
